You’ve seen QR codes. You’ve probably used them. The best ways to use QR codes are in ways that make something easier, especially on the go.
QR codes can help with conversion by allowing your customer to react in the moment. Without a QR code, you’re asking them to take an extra step: write something down, remember a web address, or to remember “that movie” poster that you saw in the mall.
Now you have no excuses. Here are 13 ways to use QR codes:
Magazine Ads: What a great way to analyze a form of media that is somewhat difficult to measure. Not to mention that it gives the reader a way to respond immediately.
Product Packaging: Wouldn’t it be easier to remember that great Pinot that you tried at your friends dinner party? Or to record the dimensions and product details of a bookshelf from Ikea?
Save the Date: Using a QR code on an event invitation or on a department store circular announcing “the big sale.” The QR code will add the event directly to your calendar.
Directions or Map: A QR code at a trail head can give you a map of the hike ahead. A QR code on the door of a store that has moved can give the visitor directions to the new location.
Name Tag: Here at the Agency san diego, we use a QR code sticker when we have name tags at events. Instead of handing out pockets full of business cards that will hopefully make it back to their office and even more hopefully into their address book, we let people scan our codes. They get a kick out of it and it helps us stand out and be remembered. And, by the way, we make it to their address book!
Trade Show: These events are notorious for collateral and more collateral. Use a QR code to reduce the cost of printed materials. And, lighten the load of your trade show visitors.
Online Reviews: Make it easy for your customers to review your business. Using a QR code on your receipt, on your door, your product or at check-out is an easy way to direct them to your Yelp page for a quick compliment or thank you.
Reorders: Snapping a shot of a QR code to reorder your prescription, contacts or flea prevention medicine for your pet could not be more convenient.
Video: A QR code strategically placed on the user’s manual, on the product itself or on a receipt can direct the user to YouTube videos of directions, FAQ’s, and tutorials. How about a QR code on a movie poster that links to the trailer on YouTube?
